Another day, another letter from Ovo

Had a great day out with my brother. We had lunch together and we discussed my miserable life as a widow with nothing much ahead of me. He cheered me up, lunch was good, the train home was good. But when I saw the Ovo letter waiting I knew it was going to depress me.
This time it was telling me straight. I've been reported to the Collection Team. No explanation as to how I managed to get this debt of 56.72, which is what I had asked for. They appear to be in transmit mode only.

What is the point of calling Ovo?
I've tried talking, it's a waste of breath.
I've spoken to Ovo people, they are soooooooo apologetic but then just send a demand for payment.
I've been topping up the pay-as-you-go card every few days since moving in to this house;

When I think back to this time last year, when I was sitting by my husband's bedside watching him die slowly from brain cancer I know life can be much more painful than merely being punished by Ovo. But still it hurts to be threatened. I've never left bills unpaid, never been in debt. I don't believe I owe money now, and I won't believe it until they offer some explanation. This is why I find the whole experience truly distressing and horrible. Living alone for the first time is hard enough. I wonder if Stephen Fitzpatrick would like to think of his mother being treated this way? Reading about Stephen Fitzpatrick  it seems he isn't good at explanation;
"In the fall of 2013, Fitzpatrick testified before Parliament's Energy and Climate Change Select Committee on the subject of rising energy prices. Fitzpatrick testified that he could not explain why the "Big Six" energy suppliers, the six largest providers of gas and electricity in the United Kingdom, raised prices. "
He was being critical of the Big Six then. Can he now offer an explanation as to why Ovo require me to pay on a pre-paid card AND want a direct debit?
Maybe the Collection Team will call here one day soon.
Maybe they will be able to get Barclays to pay me some pension?
Or maybe by the time they call here my debt will have risen so much that the entire Barclays pension will have to be paid directly to Ovo!
