Nathy appears to think it reasonable that anyone, at any time can enter a stranger's home. But then again maybe it doesn't mean that at all because Nathy ends up saying "... you just don't get the point I'm making"
Nathy reminded me of an event during my recent jaunt around the UK and Europe accompanied by a younger person.
We entered a cafe and my young companion wanted just a free glass of tap water. I could just about accept this because I was purchasing food and drink, but then she produced a paper bag containing an iced bun. I told her this was unacceptable, but she couldn't understand why a business would be bothered what she ate.
On another occasion we entered a busy restaurant at lunchtime and were ushered to a small table for two that was not in the best position. She started to complain that she wanted to be seated at a table for four that was in a prime location with lovely views. I stopped her and explained that economically it would not make sense for two people to be offered a table for four, she argued that we were paying the same for the food therefore we had "Rights". We didn't have any right to demand anything, if we didn't like what was offered we could leave but given the scarcity of lunchtime tables we were glad to be seated. She didn't understand and although she stopped complaining I knew that she felt her right to have the better table had been violated and it was only my wimpy acquiescence that left us at the tiny table.
Maybe Nathy will explain his point more clearly, after all we can't have a discussion without clarification of misunderstandings. But just in case anyone is unsure of their rights this link is a good place to start your search for the truth.
