I guess the answer is in my past life. I recently found this old letter I wrote to my mum. It's full of facts I'd forgotten, such as the fact that I was so excited to have been able to save thirty two pounds! I was hoping that one day I might be able to buy a house.
I also mention Harold Wilson going to Moscow in 1967 and the devaluation of the pound, who else remembers that? I certainly wouldn't if I hadn't got an old letter to look at.
